Well, we have made it past the EOCs. I am still sifting through all of the stats that I am given from the state, but so far it's looking pretty good. As soon as I get all of the scores finalized, they will be posted on gradebook.
From here.... we will be embarking on our final chapter of the year - genetics! Everyone always seems to enjoy this subject. The students will find out all about how inherited traits are passed from one generation to the next, why they have blue eyes, where their genes come from and how that makes them look the way they do. Not only that, but we will also be having 2 fairly major lab activities and a couple of mini labs. This is great news for anyone that is not currently happy with their grades. Lab grades are worth more than homework grades. So if a student does really well on a couple of labs, that can definitely pull their grade up. I have already mentioned this to all of my classes, so anyone who is willing to put in the effort to do well of their labs, will be repaid in good grades.
Only a few weeks left everyone.... Let's make it count!
Go Dragons!
